Advocacy
ADVOCACY
WORKING GROUP
The Advocacy Working Group (AWG) leads a global, coordinated advocacy, outreach, and communications effort to foster the introduction and scale-up of self-care interventions within health systems. The AWG aims to grow and provide a community of and for individuals and organizations currently or interested in advancing self-care through policy, programmatic, and public advocacy at global, regional, national, and subnational levels. Intended to be a sharing, learning, and incubation forum, the AWG strives to bring more people into the self-care fold, linking and connecting with established coalitions to socialize self-care as a cross-cutting solution for promoting broader health, well-being, and rights.

SELF-CARE FOR UHC
ADVOCACY TOOLKIT
The Self-Care for UHC Advocacy Toolkit aims to equip self-care champions with the resources to effectively advocate for the inclusion of self-care in health systems and within universal health coverage (UHC). Created in partnership with SCTG members from around the world, the toolkit includes resources like a self-care messaging framework, frequently asked questions, common self-care terms, a policy brief template, and an explainer on the relationship between self-care and UHC.
